About Me:
I moved to New Zealand in September 2006 from the Netherlands. I have always been very passionate about the environment, but moving and living in New Zealand made me even more aware. I work at Victoria University as a project officer and am a volunteer coordinator of the Island Bay dune restoration project. To stay healthy and fit, I cycle, swim, yoga, surf, go out tramping and cook nice and healthy food.
Areas of interest and expertise
Work related: I am trained as an academic, but am now moving into project management. I am a systems thinker, a keen and enthusiastic organiser, critical thinker, good in analysing both technical and social problems.

Outside work: I have growing expertise in dune restoration and other revegetation projects. My interest and passion is in transport, shared spaces, cycling and walking advocacy, sustainability and community resilience.
