For reasons of ethics and compassion, our health, and the environment, we should be rethinking our relationship to animals. NZ needs to create strategies that removes the unbalanced dependence we have on animal agriculture, to be truly sustainable.

Hi Symone

We’re meeting at Mon Ami Cafe next Tuesday evening for some more friendly conversations. All the details are on the events page.

If you’re free on Tuesday we’d love to see you there!

All the best from Nick, Josie, Rebeka and the rest of the Intersect Crew

Hi, Symone,
Yes kiwiland is great - I love the people, land, civil culture, and library-friendly society.
I come from Iowa which also has many of those things but also has the misfortune of paying into the US global war machine.
Thanks for connecting here.
best,
Jay

Bonjour! Welcome along, lady! Sorry i didnt' recognise your voice on the phone when I rang your flat yesterday, otherwise I'd have said "It's Bella here".

I'm dead excited about the Park(ing) day - have you seen the originators' website? They're quite rigorous about the concept, and the Manual is great reading.

Chur!

About Me:
I, like everyone else here, love the outdoors and spend many minutes/hours a day staring at trees and birds around Wellington. I have a fascination with planning trips to explore the world via fieldwork (i.e., conservation projects). I love walking and bicycles, eating outside, learning and relearning espanol, and growing green thumbs.
Areas of interest and expertise
I just crossed into my 9th year of university! I am currently working on an LLM which is mostly done but may be expanded in the near future to a thesis looking at migratory birds and how they are treated by New Zealand's wind farm consent process.

I am also about to begin my thesis in conservation biology which will look at human interactions to urban wildlife, particulary pigeons!

In my undergraduate years, I had a keen interest in philosophy and history but that has all but been forgotten after the years of hell in law school in California.
