Profile Information

About Me:
I'm born and bred in Sweden, by environmentally conscious and community engaged parents, mom was a psychologist and dad is a journalist. By 12 years, I got into the national "youth & environment" movement along with theatre, and animated local and regional groups until I left the country at the age of 18.
Then, I lived a "small footprint" lifestyle in France for about 9 years. My statement was "It must be possible to live and create positive change in western Europe without money!". In order to do so, I was....: "Squatting" empty buildings to provide shelter for the many homeless ; wwoofing on organic farms ; living off of "dumpster-diving" and collecting leftovers from the organic grower's market, turning some of it into soups for the poor ; doing "guerilla gardening" ; house-sitting while redesigning peoples properties into Permaculture ; living in a sefl-sufficient community in the countryside ; building low-cost ecological habitats ; and facilitating meetings and gatherings for different organisations with Consensus Decision-making.

I'm living in Wellington since last August, and will stay at least another year, but hopefully much longer. I'm doing a Permaculture Diploma over the next two years, focusing on sustainability for suburban households and creating community currencies.
Areas of interest and expertise
Lifestyle changes and retrofitting of our structures to become ecologically sustainable, using permaculture design. Complementary currencies as tools for enhancing local wealth and community resilience.

Hey Linnea,

The companion planting book is just, "Companion Planting in NZ" by Brenda Little. You can borrow if you want but it is a good and cheap book to have in the collection.
