Hi Kath

Nice to see you on Waitangi day, what a beautiful one. Here is what I was referring to, came across it again on the newsletter from NZBCSD while I was following up on your advice no less!:

Commerce Commission warns Hyundai on advertising claims
Hyundai Motors New Zealand Limited has been warned by the Commerce Commission about comparative claims made in advertising for one of its hybrid vehicles. The warning relates to claims made about results from the 2007 World Solar Challenge used for an advertising campaign that ran on billboards and on television during July and August 2008.

See you again soon. Cheers, Steph

Great to see you here, Kath!
intersect is spreading to Auckland; and there is a group of Aucklanders that you might want to intersect with here:
http://intersect.ning.com/group/aucklanders You can discuss with them any ideas you might have about what would be good for growing the Auckland Networks.

Feel free to invite your colleagues and friends, the more the merrier! xx m

Profile Information

About Me:
I’m a marketing professional and fiction writer, and I became active in the Green Party as a result of my volunteer work with the Waitakere Ranges Protection Society.
A Brit originally, and proud of my Yorkshire roots, I’ve lived in West Auckland for over 11 years now, since immigrating to Aotearoa at the start of 1996 with my partner Tony Dunn. I feel privileged to be a NZ citizen and acknowledge Te Tiriti o Waitangi in making this possible.
I’ve run my own marketing consultancy for seven years, supporting kiwi businesses and I’m a member of the Sustainable Business Network. I’ve been an elected member of the executive team of the Waitakere Ranges Protection Society since 2001 and am pleased to have played a role in the 30-year struggle to secure permanent protection for the whole of the Ranges, including the privately held land. The Waitakere Ranges Heritage Area received legal status on 8 April 2008.

I’ve been a member of the Green Party since 2002 and campaigned as the Green candidate for the New Lynn electorate for the Green party vote in 2008.
Areas of interest and expertise
As well as local conservation and landscape protection issues, I’ve been active in the campaign to oppose a commercial airport at Whenuapai, to improve transport choices in West Auckland, to make local government more democratic and to reduce the plastic bags used in Waitakere City.

I have 17 years professional marketing experience and run marketing consultancy KD Consulting, providing freelance marketing management to NZ business owners. I'm interested in stimulating debate in the advertising and marketing world about green marketing and greenwash.
