My husband and I celebrated our golden wedding anniversary in 2007. We still live in the home we had built 52 years ago! Our urban garden supplies nearly all of our fruit and vegetables, year round. We enjoy being involved in community affairs. Our 4 adult children are happily married and we have several wonderful grandchildren.
Areas of interest and expertise
My main community involvement is as a Board member of the Living Economies Educational Trust www.le.org.nz - a charitable Trust that researches and promotes local currency systems. I manage Trust's library and the sale of the books, DVDs etc on local currencies and related topics. Refer to our Resources page or email me at helend (at) contact.net.nz .
I'm also a keen gardener and seed-saver and promote food growing, particularly in the urban environment. Send for my seed list if you feel inspired!
