Two positions available at the Sustainable Business Network Auckland Office

The Sustainable Business Network (SBN) is seeking two dynamic and multi-talented people for positions in its Northern (Auckland) Office:
- Network Manager + Northern Regional Manager (combined role 40 hrs/week) – job share possible
- Northern Regional Coordinator (40 hrs/week)

The SBN provides advice, tools, training, sustainability assessments and networking opportunities for businesses, NGOs and government departments wanting to improve and develop their sustainability practices. The SBN is a charitable trust, established in October 2002 and is part of a national network (with 5 regional networks and offices in Auckland, Tauranga, Wellington & Nelson). The Network provides a forum for the sharing of information and expertise relating to sustainable business practice and for the development of new best practice models.

Network Manager (0.5 FTE) and Northern Regional Manager (0.5 FTE) (combined role = 1.0 FTE, 40 hrs/week)
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Management and support of SBN national and regional staff
- Oversee HR functions and all contracts
- Sustainability Leadership
- Planning, Strategy Development and Governance
- Regional Network Development
- Membership administration
- Project Management – oversee the delivery and development of all regional communications, programmes, events, forums, and projects
- Promotion of the SBN, its services and activities through public speaking engagements and presentations

Northern Regional Coordinator (40 hrs/week)
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

- Develop and manage the regional membership base
- Assist members develop their sustainability performance
- Event planning and management (seminars, workshops, forums, networking events etc)
- Communications – monthly newsletter, web content and online communication tools
- Promotion of the SBN, its services and its activities through web communications, media contacts etc.
- Sponsorship and Fundraising
- Facilitation of workshops / events, presentations, public speaking
