Young Professionals - Leading the Change

Organisation/person name:
HB/Celsias

Work type: Freelance
Work classification: Information Technology
Job description:
US: a cool collaboration between 3 parties: Forward.net.nz, Celsias.com, and HB Media. We're producing a new, New Zealand focused, sustainable/green issues dedicated internet portal. We're focusing on switched on people and professionals working in the "sustainability space". The portal will launch in the next 2 months or so.

YOU: hip to all things internet, keen on green issues, good work ethic, strong dedication to the cause, and a no B.S. attitude. Online experience can be formal (e.g. a previous job) or informal (personal passion). Recent graduate, job changer, social networker, shaker, change maker types need apply. Be flexible, willing to learn, and wear different "hats".

JOB: What we need is someone who can help us with a wide variety of duties, but predominantly online content management, networking and communications strategy and execution (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Digg, Stumble, etc.), editorial assistance, event management, and other last minute ad hoc duties (don't worry, nothing too insane-- we promise!). Also, some help with internet video production would be good.

WORKPLACE: Hip and funky, low key, no fuss, bright and airy, fun and friendly loft space in Auckland central. Some remote working possible once we have duties and deliverables nailed down.

COMPENSATION: No bling just yet unfortunately -- yet.... but we can get you some cutting edge skills in a hot and exciting area on your CV that will make you more valuable, introduce you to the "who's who" of the scene, and get you some damn good profile and references. There will likely be opportunities for advancement as the economy picks up with any/all of the 3 collaborating companies in the longer term, so keep that in mind. Some good work up front could payoff big later.

HOURS: Flexible. So long as you can make the occasional meeting and stay on the same page with everyone else, it's the deliverables that matter most.

Opportunity location: Auckland, possible remote working?
Key skills sought:
internet/technology savvy, ability to think and strategise, good work ethic, flexibility, willingness to learn, diverse skillset, personality

Start date: Wednesday, 1 July 2009
End date: Sunday, 1 November 2009-- potential to go on longer, but let's just give it to this date...
This opportunity is: Unpaid
Salary low $: 0
Salary high $: 0
