Young Professionals - Leading the Change

Get designing for a safe climate future. Greenpeace Sign On placard competition.

The UN Climate summit in December may be our last chance to avoid runaway climate change. At that summit, New Zealand needs to commit to an emissions reduction target of 40% by 2020. John Key owes it to our clean green brand and future generations. So far more than 150,000 people have joined the Sign On campaign but we still need to get the message through to John Key.

Two days before Copenhagen begins, on December 5 Greenpeace is 'Planet A: march and concert for the climate' organising a huge march up Queen Street and a free public concert in Myers Park to let John Key know we want him to commit to a cleaner, greener future.

Greenpeace is offering YOU the chance to design the official placards to be used on the day – Imagine that!

The 3 favourite designs will be chosen by the 150,000 people that have joined the Sign on Campaign so far. There is no cash prize, just the reward of having your design held up by 10,000 people and making a difference for the climate!

Your imagination is the only limit in this competition, but historically the best placards sum up the message of the campaign in a succinct, striking or iconic way. Check out www.signon.org.nz for inspiration.

Deadline is Wednesday 25th November
Please email a jpeg file and your contact details and designs to ghughes@greenpeace.org.nz
