Event Description

Kanohi ki te kanohi

Wellington Intersect members (and their friends!) meet face-to-face at Mon Ami Cafe on the last Tuesday of every month to share ideas and inspirations.

This is our last meet up for 2009, and it's all about Giving. There will be lots of surprise gifts, crafty activities, ideas for 'sustainable' gifts, and conversations about giving. You can get involved in any way that suits you - even if it's just to meet a few more people and enjoy some tasty treats.

Also... here's a few comments that I liked that people contributed on the night:
- "If you're doing what you really want to do, you've got more energy to give it"
- Smiling is infectious. So is giving by stealth (anonymous secrets and surprises)"
- "Everyone's an artist. We just need more opportunities to express our creativity"
- "There's a joy in getting back what we have lost, and experiencing more fully"
-"Generosity is best developed by giving freely without any expectation in return... but many more benefits then flow to all of Us"

Thank you to everyone who participated in the last F2F meet up for 2009! It was great to leave with such a warm and bubbly vibe.

We'll be back in February 2010 - with more treats in store early in the new year.

Yes! how old are your kiddies Helen? Would they enjoy some crafty-creating?
Helen Heath Comment by Helen Heath on November 19, 2009 at 12:14pm
Hi - is this kiddy friendly? I've been wanting to come but never seem to get childcare so was thinking perhaps we should all come?

Hi - I won't be in Wellington that day, but hope it all goes well and will try to get along next year :)

I'm on the West coast for the next month for work so hope to get to one of these next year!

Awww, I'll be in the CHC that day. Stink.

I hope it goes well y'all! I'd love to get into some kanohi ki te kanohi (and into making some cards)... but I'll be in Auckland, wrung out by an intensive day of science-and-business workshopping.

Yes! I am going to bring along my card making kit so that we can make our own cards and tags.

"Kanohi ki te Kanohi" literally means face to face, but a more accurate English title for this session would be Knowledge Connections.
